1. Data Collected by Escrime-Occasion
This privacy policy applies to both the Escrime-Occasion website and mobile application (iOS and Android). The website ensures that the collection and processing of personal information is carried out in accordance with the French Data Protection Act (Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978).
1.1 The Data You Provide
When registering on the website, you provide us with your first and last name, email address, username, and password. The information requested during registration is necessary and mandatory for creating the User's account.
When you post an ad, we collect mandatory information (marked with an asterisk) and optional information about the item for sale and the seller's address. The exact address is not shared with other users. Other users can only see the seller's town/city.
1.2 Data We Automatically Collect Through Your Use of Our Services
We record usage data when you access our services, including when you search, post or reply to ads, or use our Messaging or Secure Payment services.
In particular, we conduct audience measurement, such as tracking the total number of page views, using Google Analytics. We may collect login credentials and IP address information to identify and record user activity on the site. We may also collect technical data about your browser and devices.
1.3 Data We Receive from Facebook, Google, and Apple
Site Login with Facebook: When a user logs into the site via Facebook, Escrime-Occasion receives Facebook account information from that user, which may include their name, gender, email address, current city, and the URL of their profile picture. The user has the right to request the deletion of this data from Escrime-Occasion, as specified in section 5.
With the use of this technology, third parties, including Facebook, may use cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from the Escrime-Occasion website and use this information to provide measurement services or targeted advertising. The user can opt out of the collection and use of data for advertising targeting by adjusting their cookie settings or by contacting us via email (section 5).
Logging into the site with Google: When a user logs into the site via Google, Escrime-Occasion receives information about their first and last name, email address, profile picture, and gender (see section 5 for user rights regarding this data).
Logging into the application with Apple (“Sign in with Apple”): When a user logs in with their Apple ID, Escrime-Occasion receives only their Apple ID, name (if the user chooses to provide it), and email address. Users can choose to hide their real email address via their Apple ID settings: Escrime-Occasion then receives a relay address generated by Apple, which allows them to be contacted without knowing their actual address. Escrime-Occasion receives no other data from Apple. The User has the right to request the deletion of this data, as specified in point 5.
